Domain Transfer Print E-mail

How do I authorize a domain transfer to webdotPORTFOLIO?

The term 'transfer' has been used to describe a variety of domain transfers. Traditionally, it was simple as changing the nameservers providing name service for a domain was considered a transfer. Today the term 'transfer' describes the transfer of a domain from one registrar to another.

Your domain transfer to webdotPORTFOLIO will not succeed unless you unlock the domain, remove privacy, set up a valid administrative email, and apply the correct authorization code(for .com, .net, .org, .biz, .us. or .info names).

To Authorize a Domain Transfer to Your webdotPORTFOLIO Account

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. From the Domain Names menu, select Manage Domains. The Domain Control Center opens.
  3. In your folder list, click Pending Transfers.
  4. Click the Authorization button and select Begin Transfer Authorization from the list. The Authorization button is located in the right corner of the toolbar.
  5. In the Transfer Authorization section, enter your Transaction ID and Security Code from the email notification you received regarding this transfer and click Continue.
  6. If applicable, enter your Authorization Code that you received from the current Registrar and click Continue.
